It's only natural to wonder what the first lesson of the new journey to making beautiful music will look like. When I was 5 years old and my mom came into my room and asked me if I wanted to start piano lessons, my first thoughts were "This means I get to press buttons!" And I enthusiastically said yes. I remember my very first piano lesson, it was such a blast and I know how important it is to start the lessons off on the right note (ha!) for my students.

What to Bring

  1. Make sure all your recommended books are with you.

  2. Bring a composition notebook or any spiral notebook for your weekly assignments to be written in.

  3. If you have taken any lessons with another teacher before, bring those books as well and any past piano notebooks.

Somethings to Expect

  1. An introduction to the keys and functions of the piano

  2. Go over each book and what they are for

  3. Assessment of skills and abilities (don't worry - this isn't at all as intimidating as it sounds!)

  4. Technical basics

  5. Finger Numbers

  6. Note Values

  7. And more! All tailored to each individual student.

Whether you're a beginner stepping into the world of piano or a seasoned player ready to take your skills to new heights, I can't wait to meet all the amazing new students. Let's make some beautiful music together! Remember, the piano is not just an instrument; it's a gateway to expression, creativity, and endless possibilities. So, let's dive in and let the music fill the air. See you soon!
